Family Readiness

The Family Readiness Program is designed to help Marines and families achieve a constant state of personal and family readiness. While the Unit Family Readiness Program is the responsibility of the Commanding Officer (CO) of each unit, Marine Corps Family Team Building (MCFTB) trains and supports the CO’s Command Team, the Family Readiness Officer (FRO), and appointed assistants and advisors.
Your Unit Family Readiness Program:

Communicates official command information through newsletters, phone calls, emails, etc.

Provides information and gives referrals for military and local resources

Provides readiness and deployment support to all members of a Marine’s family

While the individual Marine is responsible and accountable for his personal and family readiness, the unit’s Family Readiness Command Team in partnership with MCFTB and Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) provide readiness and deployment support. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for your unit, contact your FRO for more information.
