Welcome to MCCS Yuma’s Lifelong Learning Center’s website. Our center has trained counselors who are able to provide academic counseling, tuition assistance for active-duty marines, proctoring services, career assessments, and education workshops. We can assist you with enrolling in post secondary education programs that lead to Associates, Bachelors, Graduate, and Post Graduate Degrees. We also provide assistance for those who wish to complete their high school education, earn an equivalency diploma (GED), or enroll in vocational and technical schools.

The Education Center also offers the following resources and testing services:
  • College 101 Brief
  • Montgomery GI Bill/Post 9/11 GI Bill Brief
  • Military Classification Testing for active duty personnel (AFCT, DLAB and DLPT)
  • DANTES testing for active duty personnel (GED, ACT, SAT, CLEP, DSST, PRAXIS, and ASE)
  • Scholarship/Financial Aid Assistance
  • SMART (Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript)
  • SOCMAR (Service members Opportunity Colleges/Marine Corps) listings
  • DISCOVER Program
  • Holland’s Self-Direct Search
  • OASC (Online Academic Skills Program)
  • 7-Steps to College Workshop

The Lifelong Learning Center provides a monthly newsletter entitled the “Yuma Sizzle” that will keep you up to date on various events we hold at the Education Center and Station Library. Each month we provide information regarding testing schedules, education and career information, Station Library events, and visiting school schedules and information. If you would like to receive the latest edition, you may view it on our website or sign up to receive it monthly by contacting Missy Dickerson to be put on our distribution list.
We are located in the Education Center, Bldg. 850 (next to the Law Center), and are open Monday through Friday, 0730-1600. Educational advisement and counseling is available to all personnel on a walk-in basis; however, appointments are welcome. Please contact or Missy at 269-5614 or Cindy at 269-3589 to schedule an appointment.

We look forward to servicing you in the future!
Kim, Cindy, and Missy
